Visits to EWR ecological compensation site

Do you know about the plants and animals living on your doorstep?

Come and join ecologists from EWR Alliance as we explore the ecological compensation site in Winslow.

Learn about the plants and animals that live at the site, the types of plants, animal and insect lifecycles and how they are important to our environment.

We have sessions running 10:00-1100 and 11:30-12:30 on:

• Friday 2 August

• Thursday 8 August

• Thursday 15 August

Where: Meeting point (on foot) is at Carters Gate (what3words reference: closet.dives.fighters) from which we will walk to the ecological compensation site on Furze Lane. Access this ON FOOT via Stocks Lane and Brook Dene, or from Verney Road via Furze Lane. Access will not be possible via Furze Lane from the A413 at Lakers Nursery.

The event is free to all, but limited to 10 people per session, so booking is advised. Children are welcome with a responsible adult.

All necessary equipment will be provided, although we recommend a sturdy set or shoes or boots.

Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis. To book your place or for any questions about the event please contact publicinformation@ewralliance.co.uk

WOLVERTON Meet in New Bradwell Allotments Car Park, Newport Rd, Wolverton, 200 m E of Stonebridge roundabout. NGR 823415; commuting.typist.retailing, Walk through Wolverton's "secret garden" onto disused Newport Pagnell branch line to former New Bradwell station site, where we'll pause look at some interesting vintage maps and photos from when the line was working. We'll also visit Bradwell windmill, then walk via Bradwell village and Bancroft Roman Villa Hard paths, no stiles. Approx. 4 miles

Everyone aged 7 or more is welcome (under 12s must be accompanied by an adult).
