Bonfire and Fireworks Display

Lions Club of Winslow is holding its annual Bonfire & Fireworks Display in the grounds by kind permission of Winslow C of E School. Gates open 6pm. Bonfire lighting at 6.40pm. Smaller fireworks at 7pm. Larger fireworks will then follow. Hot dogs and drinks will be available.
Admission : Adults £7; children (5-15yrs) £3; no charge for children under 5yrs old.

Park in Wharf Road and meet at the Canal. Car share if you can. (HP22 6HF). GR 869082. An easy walk to start with along the Aylesbury Ring / towing path to Halton. Leaving the canal to pass church and Halton House to enter Wendover Woods. Taking good paths to skirt Halton camp. Finally a steepish descent back to Wharf Road. No stiles 5 miles.

Christmas Fair & Market

The annual Christmas Fayre and Market, organised by the Town Council with help from the Winslow Lions, the Winslow ABC Group and The Winslow Shoe Committee, takes place in and around the Market Square, with other events in the St Laurence Room, St Laurence Church and the Brownies and Guides Hut.
Lights will be switched on at 6pm followed by gifts for the under 8yr olds from Father Christmas. Festive food amd drinks, fun rides for children and a variety of stalls to browse for the perfect Christmas gift.
The Church, which will be candlelit with decorations for Advent, will be open from 6pm. Refreshments including mince pies will be available. Thee will be a Reindeer Treasure Hunt for young people, and Winslow Concert Band will be providing festive music. Carol singing will take place from 7pm.
The Fair will run until about 8.30pm.
